The options are endless. Family
sessions can include portraits of the entire family,
mother and father, children together, grandchildren
and grandparents, or individual families. There
is no extra charge for the different groups.
When planning your families
portraits it is important to consider
your decorative intent as well as
your family's personality.
Where are you are going to display
the portrait?
Would you like a formal or casual
style?
Would you like the setting to be indoor
or outdoor or at your home?
We have many sets to
choose from both indoor and outdoor
to fit your family's size. For ideas
you can view sample images in our
portrait
gallery, or contact
the studio for a consultation.
Tips for Better Portraits
Hair
Be very particular about your hair. Avoid a fresh
haircut. When having an outdoor sitting, hair
spray should be used on everyone.
Clothes
Families should wear the same color tone and avoid
contrasting shades. Solids are best, avoid stripes,
checks, prints and bright colors. Shoes and socks
should be taken into consideration when coordinating
clothing. Skirts should cover the knees.
Consultations
Consultations allow you to receive professional
advice on clothing, accessories, styles, and settings
which help create a timeless portrait. Contact
us to set up a consultation.
Glasses
Wearing glasses with lenses in them can cause
glass glare. It can be eliminated with digital
enhancements, although extensive glass glare can
cost $10-20 per head. We suggest wearing glasses
without the lenses. You can have the lenses removed
at your optometrist or borrow empty frames. This
is extremely important with photo-grey lenses.
